Of fashion, glamour and design. Venues crafted to make their own distinct statement of style.

Lakmé India Fashion Week’s grand finales were conceived and executed to translate a chosen theme into uniquely designed venues. Merging iconic sites with intuitive set-design, each venue seamlessly complemented the fashion designer’s aesthetic on showcase.

The LFW Spring/Summer ’16 ‘Illuminate’-themed finale was held within the Indo-Gothic façade of St. Xaviers’ College, Mumbai. It’s stark, stony walls were transformed into a 3D-mapped backdrop that took its cues from the design elements of the finale designer, Rohit Bal

The Spring/Summer ’17 finale moved to the Amphitheatre of Mumbai’s Bandra Fort and converted it into an enchanted forest of plants interspersed with shimmering lights of varied size and form. A garden hanging on a 22-ft trellis became the lush backdrop for a collection by Anita Dongre inspired by ‘Liquid Gold’, while guests watched from the elevated seating of the theatre.

The Bandra Fort continued to serve as the venue for the following edition of LFW, only entirely transformed in perspective, design and inspiration. Debuting a collection by Anamika Khanna, the descending steps of the Amphitheatre became the ramp platform and the original stage, the seating. Elements of nature dominated the décor while strong, earthy choreography and live percussion music reflected the inspiration for the collection.

The Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 highlighted Lakmé’s new “Better in 3D” lipstick with Delhi-based designer Amit Aggarwal known for his ability to mould & shape materials to his imagination. The designer concluded the season with a Better in 3D assemblage titled 'Axil' – a line-up inspired by futuristic biomimicry. The show had a 3D Projection backdrop spanning 150 feet created to complement the collection being showcased and create an immersive futuristic appeal. Ravishing and beautiful Kareena Kapoor Khan was the showstopper for this grand finale.
