Kala Ghoda Arts Festival
Celebration of Mumbai’s art & culture in the heart of Mumbai’s art district showcasing 14 genres of art to more than a million visitors over the course of 10 days
We created a signature event celebrating Mumbai’s art and culture and in the city’s iconic art district. It’s a no surprise then that KGAF won the award for Festival of the Year – Art, Culture & Lifestyle.
The annual Kala Ghoda Arts Festival that begins on the second Saturday of February was conceived to shine the spotlight on South Mumbai and revive its art and culture. Across its nine days, it takes over iconic venues and converts them into bustling hubs of music, dance, theatre, literature, food, street stalls, cinema, workshops, visual arts, urban design and architecture, and heritage walks.
Dotted with installations, performances and handicrafts, it has become a veritable destination for artisans, artistes and visitors alike. Over the 15 years since its revival in its current form, the festival has grown in stature and popularity, setting a unique platform for Mumbai’s heritage and artistry.
